Frequently Asked Questions

How expensive is it to join Delta Phi Omega?

Not expensive at all! While many sororities have dues that exceed $1000, Delta Phi Omega's dues do not. Our dues are typically about $190 per semester. These dues cover the costs of national expenses, insurance and events. We rely heavily on fundraising to cover other expenses.

Do I have to be South Asian to join?

Definitely not! While Delta Phi Omega is a South Asian interest organization, we welcome ladies of all ethnicities. At our chapter, we have sisters that are of a variety of cultures and come from a variety of backgrounds. Within Delta Phi Omega, we strive to create a sisterhood that is timeless, to aide each other towards personal, professional and organizational success, to help out our local communities as much as we can, to enrich campus life for all with social events, and to create leadership opportunities for our members. RACE and ETHNICITY is not a factor of membership!

What is Delta Phi Omega's philanthropy?

Our philanthropy is children's literacy and education. Our sorority aims to bring awareness and continual support to an often overlooked cause: children's education and literacy. The children of today are tomorrow's leaders - but without the skills to unlock their potential, the door to a successful future remains shut. By ensuring each child - regardless of race, religion, or creed - a quality education and the power to read, we give them the keys to a better future.

The sisters of Delta Phi Omega are doing their part to ensure that each child is given the amazing power to read and obtain a befitting education, by educating the public on the epidemic of illiteracy, fundraising for our philanthropic partners, and volunteering in literacy and educational settings.
