Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc.
University of Minnesota Twin-Cities | Alpha Alpha Chapter
About
Delta Phi Omega is the nations's largest, strongest, and fastest-growing South Asian sorority with more than 2,000 sisters nationwide. While the sorority is South Asian based, our sisters hail from all over the world. Membership at our chapter truly is one of the most multiculturally diverse amongst the sororities on campus.
Our sisters exemplify our sorority's five pillars: Loyalty, Honesty, Respect, Sisterhood and, Friendship. Our sorority strives for academic excellence, commits to serving the local communities through volunteerism, raises awareness and support throughout campus for our national philanthropy: children's literacy and education while remaining active on the social scene.
Our Purpose:
The purpose of Delta Phi Omega shall be to foster unity among South Asian women, build community awareness, and gain a greater understanding of oneself and others. The sorority aspires to instill leadership traits, excel in all academic endeavors, to encourage an active relationship between the sorority and its respective university, and shall do so with the utmost compassion, dignity, and fortitude.
Our Quote:
"Sincerity of conviction and purity of motive will surely gain the day and even a small minority, armed with these, is surely Destined to Prevail against all Odds."
- Swami Vivekananda
